Torrance Superior Courthouse serves many purposes that benefit the community as well as community outreach programs. Everyone who enters the courthouse must be searched for any illegal possessions or weapons. This is to ensure the safety of everyone inside the courthouse at all times. The civil directory is for anyone that has any civil matters such as lawsuits. The traffic directory is used for any traffic violations and is where you could handle any traffic violations or to appear to court. Those are the most common reasons for people to come into the courthouse. If you or your loved one appears to court and would like to bail out of jail, then you will have to do so before the cut off time. The courthouse will not take any bail bonds after 3:00 in the afternoon. It is vital to turn in the bail bond before this time or the defendant will be taken back to jail after his or her hearing.
